Language Guide
Source boundary: This page summarizes the Edition 1 documentation shipped with
nebo-v1.1.0. It is a reading guide, not a fresh execution test or a compatibility guarantee for your compiler.
Nebo uses expression chains and receiver-oriented forms. The small hello example gives one executed starting point; the wider language topics below are summaries of published documentation.
Read by topic
Section titled “Read by topic”- Syntax, types and literals: entry form, primitive identities and literal categories.
- Bindings and control flow: names, mutability, conditions and loops.
- Functions and modules: receiver signatures and explicit imports.
- Ownership and borrowing: moves, views and lifetime restrictions.
- Option, Result and Error: absence, failure and diagnostic identity.
- Collections, text and bytes: container and indexing boundaries.
Reading a reference correctly
Section titled “Reading a reference correctly”The published Edition 1 language tour combines bindings, a List, a Result and module inputs. It includes supporting files and expected observations. Copying only its main source omits part of that context. Read each source’s constraints and rejection cases, and keep its version attached to any result you report.
The compiler is still developing. This site’s maturity legend does not mark these topics as stable capabilities.
